Polyonics 1 mil ESD labels:
Virtually eliminate ESD
buildup…..
Offer ease of use….and lower cost and weight
Polyonics’
new ESD label made of 1 mil white polyimide label material,
XF 562, is designed to meet the extreme challenges of printed
circuit board manufacturing, and provides:
Cost Savings: The thinner construction of
our 1-mil polyimide label material allows you to keep the
high performance properties of Polyonics’ traditional
materials, while reducing your label cost.
Greater Operational Ease of Use: The lower
profile of these new polyimide label materials allows for
easier use in processes which demand thin materials, such
as solder paste screen printing. The lower profile also makes
it easier for uniform stacking and loading of boards.
Weight Reduction: Lighter 1 mil labels are
ideal for small electronics applications in which reducing
overall product weight is critical.
Thermal Transfer Printers: XF 562 can be used with
most industrial thermal transfer printers, such as Zebra,
Intermec, Sato, Printronix, NEC, Datamax, and Brady label
printers , for harsh environment bar code label printing with
a wide variety of thermal transfer ribbons.
Recommended Ribbon:

Static Dissipative Labels...
The Benefits: Electrostatic discharge (ESD) can seriously
damage almost any electronic component or device. The can
often go undetected until the product reaches the field.
Polyimide labels used as circuit board bar code labels are
one of the many potential sources of ESD damage. Static charges
in excess of 5000 volts can be generated when a label is removed
from its release liner even in an otherwise ESD-safe environment.
Typical pressure sensitive labels act as insulators, and may
retain this static charge for a long period of time.
Polyonics’ unique TRIBOGARD® technology adapts the
resistivity of the label to the extent that any charge generated,
no matter how small, dissipates quickly within a few milliseconds.
The greatly reduced amount of static charge generated when
these labels are removed from their release liners (< 25
volts/sq in) makes them safe enough so they won’t damage
static sensitive components.
